WHO WE ARE
SFA was founded in Charlotte, NC, and has since expanded nationally with programs in California, Ohio, and now Virginia. Our mission here in Virginia is simple: change the game for softball players in the 757 and beyond. Travel ball has seen countless organizations come and go, but SFA is built different. We’re not here to just fill another roster — we’re here to build a program that develops confident, college-ready athletes and put them directly in front of the coaches who can change their future.
SFA Virginia is directed by Jaycee Ruberti, a former Division 1 softball player for The Ohio State University and Graduate Assistant Coach at the University of Missouri. She knows firsthand what it takes to reach the next level. With the right contacts, experience, and passion for the game, Jaycee created SFA Virginia with the vision of giving athletes the same opportunity she once fought for. This is about more than talent — it’s about preparation, guidance, and knowing how to navigate the recruiting world the right way.
But SFA is bigger than softball. We teach athletes to compete with toughness and integrity, to know their worth beyond the stat sheet, and to carry themselves with confidence, faith, and resilience. Wins and statistics fade, but character lasts — and at SFA, we prepare our athletes for success on the field, in college, and in life.
This is more than a team. This is a movement to raise the standard of travel ball, to give players in Virginia a true platform, and to show them that their game — and their future — matters. With hard work of course.
